YouHaveCode Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 4, 2026 Operator: The Junosis LLC Privacy contact: b@brocknash.com
What this policy covers
This policy explains how the YouHaveCode iOS app and its production extensions, operated by The Junosis LLC, handle information. It does not describe the separate VS Code extension or private developer builds.
The Junosis LLC does not operate a backend server for YouHaveCode. Everyday keyboard processing happens on your device. Optional online features communicate with Apple or your selected service provider. If you contact support, we receive the information you send us.
This policy covers the app. Visiting this Squarespace-hosted website also involves website processing, such as connection information and any cookies enabled on the site. Website hosting is separate from the app’s on-device keyboard processing.
Typing and local personalization
Swipe decoding, Unicode search, handwriting, and text transformations run on device. Your typing is not uploaded for prediction. The app can retain favorites, tags, recents, saved searches, custom maps, settings, and content you explicitly save.
Automatic word associations use bounded adjacent-word counts rather than stored sentences. Touch calibration uses compact geometry. Detailed swipe paths are retained when training or Learn From Everyday Swipes is enabled. Explicitly saved phrases and other saved content may contain complete text you choose to keep.
Core bundled keyboard tools work without Full Access. Full Access enables sharing features such as purchased and custom maps, app favorites, tags, and settings with the keyboard.
Optional contacts and location
Contacts and Location Suggestions are separate opt-ins, off by default. Permitted contact names, email addresses, and postal addresses can be copied locally for suggestions. Turning a source off deletes its copied suggestion values.
Location Suggestions look up your location when enabled or refreshed and use Apple's geocoder for address information. Copied location suggestion values expire after 24 hours. This feature does not track your location in the background. These suggestions are suppressed in secure fields.
Optional AI services
Supported on-device AI runs locally. If you select a remote provider, the applicable text, instructions, and context, including enabled profile instructions, are sent to that provider to process your request. Supported remote integrations in the current implementation include OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic. Your own API key authenticates requests; provider terms and charges apply. Keys are stored using Apple's Keychain.
Remote processing is outside the everyday offline keyboard behavior. Removing a key or turning off a feature does not delete requests already received by a provider. Provider retention and request-deletion practices depend on the provider, selected model, account, region, and applicable service terms. Providers may process request content and connection information for service operation, security, and abuse prevention. Do not assume that using your own key means requests are never retained or reviewed.
YouHaveCode requests store: false for its OpenAI Responses API calls. This does not eliminate provider security logs or override your provider's other retention obligations. Google distinguishes paid and unpaid services in its data-use terms. Check the terms applicable to your own API account before sending personal or confidential information.
AI History is enabled by default and retains up to 100 entries locally. Entries can contain original text, instructions, the request sent to the provider, responses, and processing details. Original text may remain in local history even when the outgoing request used redaction. You can turn off history, delete individual entries, or clear the history. Turning history off stops new entries; use the deletion controls to remove existing entries. Saved and recent instructions may also remain locally for reuse. Deleting local history does not delete a provider's copies.
Optional iCloud backup
Optional iCloud settings backup uses your Apple account and can restore information across devices and reinstalls. It can include Glyph Maps, tags, favorites, preferences, profiles, saved phrases, profile variables including private values, learned and blocked words, word associations, and swipe calibration. Review what you save in profiles before enabling backup.
The app's settings-backup feature excludes copy and AI request history, raw swipe recordings, Contacts and location snapshots, editor drafts, provider API keys, and encryption keys. Secret Glyph Maps are excluded unless you opt in to include them. This describes the app's own settings-backup feature; Apple's device backups may have separate behavior.
Purchases and sharing
Purchases and restoration use Apple's App Store services, and the app uses transaction information to determine access to paid features. YouHaveCode does not need your payment card details to unlock a purchase.
Sharing and export send the content you choose to the destination you select. Nearby map transfer uses the local network after approval. Exported images may include readable text descriptions and editable text or styling metadata according to your export settings. Anyone receiving the original file may extract that metadata. Image Only omits that metadata, but does not conceal visible text or prevent optical character recognition.
Profile icon imports process your selected image locally and retain the selected small crop. The source image is not sent to an AI provider by the icon import feature.
Microphone, photos, artwork, and device features
Morse Listen uses the microphone when you start listening and grant permission. It processes Morse tones on your device; it does not save audio files or upload microphone audio. This is separate from speech transcription. Use Stop to end listening.
When you select an image for an app feature, the app processes the selected image for that feature. Saving artwork or stickers to Photos occurs when you choose an export action and grant the necessary access. Copies saved to Photos or another destination must be managed there separately. Exported content can contain personal information you placed in it.
Supported artwork previews can use device motion locally to create tilt effects. Motion for these previews is separate from the experimental sensor tools and does not upload motion readings.
The App Store version excludes the Testing & Experiments section, including its experimental background voice transcription and screen-analysis recording tools. This exclusion does not mean that every production feature is permission-free: contacts, location, photo export, and other retained device features have their own controls as described in this policy.
Retention and deletion
Local saved content is retained until you remove it through the relevant controls or reset it, subject to feature-specific limits such as location suggestion expiry. Use the history and personalization controls to clear the categories you no longer want retained.
Delete iCloud Backup separately in Cloud Backup. Delete Saved Key in AI provider settings removes the saved provider credential; you can also revoke it at the provider. Copies you exported, shared, or sent to third parties are not removed by clearing the app's local data. Device and service backups may have separate retention behavior.
If you contact support, we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you send and use them to respond and troubleshoot. Our support mailbox is hosted by Google. Support is provided at our discretion, without a guaranteed response time or resolution. We may retain support correspondence for support, relevant business records, dispute resolution, protection of our rights, and compliance with applicable law. We do not apply a fixed retention period. Contact b@brocknash.com for questions or requests concerning information held by the operator. We cannot remotely inspect or delete content that exists only on your device.
Advertising and tracking
YouHaveCode does not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. Optional online services and website hosting have their own processing practices; those services are not covered by a claim that the entire product never connects to the internet.
Your choices and requests
You can manage optional features and device permissions in the app and iOS Settings. For requests about information held by The Junosis LLC, contact b@brocknash.com. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information or exercise other privacy rights. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify a request. Applicable legal exceptions may limit what can be provided or deleted. We cannot access or erase information held only on your device or in accounts you control with another provider.
Security and service terms
Keep copies of important content and review information before sharing it. No device, email system, or online service can be guaranteed completely secure or available at all times. This policy explains data practices; it does not create an additional warranty or a support service-level agreement. Nothing here limits rights or obligations that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Use of the App Store app is governed by the applicable Apple Standard End User License Agreement, including its warranty and liability provisions where permitted by law. Optional third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices.
Policy updates
We will update this policy when data practices change and revise the effective date. Contact b@brocknash.com if you need help understanding the policy or exercising applicable privacy rights.
